Server Move

Hi fellow researchers! It has been a while since I posted. My apologies for the weird things going on with the site, we have gone through a server move and I find I am having to rebuild a few areas. Slowly getting everything working again though.

Unfortunately I think I am going to take down my long standing funeral links site, however I will keep the main links to the cemeteries and such for genealogy available on this site.

If you happen to find anything quirky please send me a message so I can fix it.

Updates for ARG this week - 10-Feb-2008

The Craft Genealogy section has had a clean-up , well Johnson really with an updated descendant chart . A new page added on the REEVE family including a descendant chart for Bebeannah REEVES.

Bebeannah Reeves and Bridget (?)

This chart is a new addition the Craft Genealogy Section covering the Lancaster Branch - more of Heather's and Gina's ancestors.

It has been compiled purely from NSW BDM Indexes and the Australian Cemetery Indexes together, it is definitely open to corrections, additions and adjustments, I was seriously fascinated with the name Bebeannah which is what got me started! Anybody know the history of it? Please come forward.

Marco Family aka Millers

Our Miller and related families had strong ties to the world of 'travelling entertainers' as showman, acrobats, sideshow, circus and even a snakeman. In fact the family is still represented within the business today!

Charlie Miller (1894-1949) was apparently known as the 'Snakeman' around Bingara. Charlie and Emily nee Davis (his wife) were also known as the 'Marco's' within the circuit.

Using Drupal to present your genealogy

I get a lot of emails asking how this site is created so I have decided to share what is behind www.aussierhonda.com

The site, as it is now, is presented using the CMS (Content Management System) Drupal. I have tried several different CMS's over the years and whilst learning Drupal is not an easy task I find it a wonderful system.

Around and about ARG this week - 22-Jan-2008

This week I have tidied up the Friend Genealogy section and added Alice Friend nee Lenard's descendant chart for the Lenard and Brett family.

Descendants of Henry William Lenard and Mary Jane Brett

Just because I felt sorry for dear Alice being left out so I decided to put this one up in her honour.

Please note this is NOT confirmed lineage just what I've found cruising the genealogy sites, if you are related please feel free to get in touch and share details for my sons' heritage.

I had originally thought that the Mary Jane BRETT here was part of the family that arrived that immigrated to Australia from England in 1857 on "Plantagenet"

Baby steps into the future

Tonight I have taken a few more baby steps into the 'modern' world of blogging..

Dear G.G.G.G.Grandma Lydia by Glynis Wheeler
