Website Chaos - 19 Jan 2007

Well didn't disaster strike?!
Set up Drupal 4.7.4 (fantastic CMS - just don't think you are going to learn it in a day!) Integrated with Phpgedview and all was working wonderfully well. THEN Drupal released some security patches and I had to upgrade to 4,7.5 and all went belly up! I couldn't even log in here. Eventually I installed the current version 5.X which is like learning Drupal all over again *grr* unfortunately they don't have all the modules I originally set up like 'Guestbook' ported to the new version yet, so we are going to have to wait for a wee while to get it back to how I had it.
Another disaster is the integration to the gedcom, I haven't got it working as yet and I am not in a hurry to get there until I finish with the hierarchy of the site and set all the permissions. Shouldn't be long though.
Who in there right mind would want maintain a website??? LOL never claimed to be sane !
