Well hasn't my webhosting been a barrel of laughs over the past few weeks! Up and down like a yo-yo for sure. I have just moved it back to BlueHost for now and might just stick it out while they play aaround with the servers to fix the mammoth amount of spam and cpu errors they have been getting.

The Private Family gedcom is on hold while I play around with TNG (The Next Generation), I am not happy with the way phpGedview has been performing as it is so script intensive it is harsh on the servers.

Merry Christmas to all, take the time to contact that relative that you have not had time to contact and make them feel loved and special and remmebered, THAT is what Christmas is all about NOT the cost of a gift, but the sharing of LOVE :)

Test trials of the gedcom have gone well... so it is now live, there are two seperate ged's available, the first is for general viewing (no notes, sources, pics), second has it all.

1/. GUEST GEDCOM

2/. The 'Private Family Gedcom' is viewable by family members only, you will need to join dixie9.com to get the link from the 'members only section' to reach the gedcom, then you will need to re-register and be approved to access the file.

It is worth the stringent and painful security as you can even edit & add info, view the photo's AND sources (I am slowly adding all certificates to the database).

Phpgedview has been re-installed and upgraded (twice) we are just test running amongst a few family members and when we are happy with it access will be open again... looking good so far :)

There has been a problem with the setup of Phpgedview and members gaining access, so I have temporarily removed it while I play around with the configurations, if this doesn't work I will be installing a new setup, please be patient - should be back up by next week!

The 'Cemetery Section' of the listing just got even better with all the online database grouped together for easier finding here is the direct link to see for yourself... still searching and adding new links.

Wow, I really had a LOT of missing pages, following some late nights, grey hairs LOL and less hair! they are all back in place *sigh*

Overview to Family Groups and the 'PORTAL' to my genealogy pages is now back up and re-linked...YAY

Some major modifications ihave been made to the (backend) of the site which has left a few bad links (especially on individual pages ie 'Family Groups') .. will get to them over the next few days and fix them. Sorry for the inconveniece but it will be well worth it in the long run as everything will be set up in individual categories and easier to find.

I have also added forums (Bulletin Board) to the site, where you can leave your messages, research info and enquiries. Link is found on the bottom of the menu, please feel free to use it :)
